Deluxe (Stage)

To celebrate our 20th anniversary, we're returning with a brand new live dance show called Deluxe. It fuses beautiful dance with original music in our unmistakable style, including collaborations from some of the world’s most inventive and thought-provoking choreographers and composers. Deluxe is a co-production with Sadler’s Wells.

The new show sees Shanghai-based dancer and choreographer Xie Xin (TAO Dance Theatre) make her UK debut choreographing a new piece for the Company dancers, set to an original score by composer Jiang Shaofeng, whilst Maxine Doyle (Punchdrunk) presents work to live jazz music by composer Cassie Kinoshi, of the Mercury Prize-nominated SEED Ensemble.

Them/Us (Stage)

Them, the first half of the show, is created through a unique, collaborative choreographic process by the BalletBoyz company dancers. The piece explores the individuality that resides within each dancer and the versatility of movement which the company has always been known for. Them proves to be an exciting culmination of the experience the company has gained after 20 years of working with leading choreographers, designers, composers and artists.

Tony and Olivier Award-winning choreographer Christopher Wheeldon concludes the evening with Us, exploring human connections and culminating in the tender duet which premiered in 2017 to public acclaim. Featuring all BalletBoyz dancers, the piece presents the company at its powerful best.

Set to contrasting scores by artist Keaton Henson and composer Charlotte Harding, this inventive double bill asks where we see ourselves in relation to the “other,” and explores the fine balance between them and us.

BalletBoyz Young Men

Fourteen Days (Stage)

Fourteen Days is a thought-provoking exploration about the methods artists employ to create their work. Given just fourteen days, 4 internationally acclaimed choreographers worked with 4 world-renowned composers to make 4 new commissions that challenge and stimulate both the audience and the dancers. Highlighting the diversity of styles and approaches, the show plays with the concept of balance and imbalance and proves to be an exciting, varied programme of dance and music.

Choreographer Javier de Frutos paired up with composer Scott Walker to create The Title is in the Text, choreographer Iván Pérez made Human Animal together with composer Joby Talbot, and choreographer Christopher Wheeldon teamed up with composer Keaton Henson to create Us. The final piece, The Indicator Line, was made by choreographer Craig Revel Horwood with music by composer Charlotte Harding.
