Ballet Boyz Productions is thrilled to announce two brand new commissions for UK television to be broadcast Christmas 2009.

Ballet Boyz: The Rite of Spring
Part of a strand of programmes on the BBC to celebrate the centenary year of Diaghilev’s Ballet Russes, Ballet Boyz: The Rite of Spring is a documentary/performance film, in the Ballet Boyz inimitable style, following Nunn and Trevitt as they stage a radical new interpretation of Stravinsky’s iconic score . The film culminates in a stunning performance filmed before a live audience.

The Royal Ballet in Cuba
A 90 minute documentary following the Royal Ballet on their historic visit to Cuba in July 2009. With unprecedented access to one of the worlds most revered arts institutions, in one of the world’s most closely controlled societies, filmmakers Nunn & Trevitt brings the viewer right up to the front row as this huge company must overcome all the odds to get the show on the road. This beautifully shot film featuring innovative performance footage will air on More4 in a double Bill with Ballet Boyz Productions Emmy award-winning film Strictly Bolshoi and will form the centrepiece of More4’s Christmas Dance season.
