Balletboyz: Workshops and Learning

Balletboyz offers high quality dance and film education and outreach activities to widen access to dance, add value to learning and to promote the art form whilst remaining faithful to the Company’s artistic aims and ethos.

Balletboyz offers tailor made repertoire-linked dance workshops, plus more in-depth dance and film residencies that provide participants with a practical insight into the artistic work.

Access to the work of Balletboyz through these activities aims to nurture the existing skills of participants, regardless of ability, develop self-confidence and promote a wider understanding and appreciation of the art form. Balletboyz aims to develop long-term sustainable partnerships with schools, colleges, community groups and arts organisations for longer term benefits, and to widen access to see Balletboyz performances.

What’s on offer?

Company dancers, fully trained in workshop delivery,  lead repertoire-linked dance workshops based on current touring production. Workshops are aimed at students studying GCSE, BTEC , A level Dance and Performing Arts and degree level.  Other activity can be tailor made and includes:

Two hour repertoire-linked workshops
Full day workshops (4 hours)
Residencies from two to five days duration incorporating dance, film and music as required
Post Performance Talks
