Opening Night of Young Men at Wilton's Music Hall

Last night our latest production of Young Men opened at Wilton's Music Hall, the oldest music hall in London. The production is a compelling hybrid of the original sell-out stage production and the award-winning film, with haunting choreography by Iván Pérez and an original, evocative score by Keaton Henson. We were also joined yesterday by live musicians Reinoud Ford and Jeremy Young.

Young Men is a meditation on the experiences of young soldiers sent to fight in World War One in a deeply moving portrayal of the desolation and futility of warfare. A chronicle of love, friendship, loss and survival, Young Men explores the theme of war and the bonds that develop between the men consumed by it.

It has been an honour to present Young Men at Wilton's as part of the final season of 14-18 NOW and we are very much looking forward to the rest of the week.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of making this production happen and to everyone who came to the show last night!

Co-produced by Sadler's Wells and 14-18 NOW, with support from the National Lottery through Arts Council England and the Heritage Lottery Fund and from the Department for Digital Culture Media and Sport.
