United Learning 2018

United Learning is a collection of schools providing excellent education to children and young people across the country. With funding from the Andrew Lloyd Weber Foundation, in 2018 United Learning collaborated with BalletBoyz as part of their Access to Theatre – AcT project. Bringing together teachers, students and our dancers, the project was designed to widen access to professional performance and broaden the cultural experiences of young people in United Learning schools. 

Kick-starting in January, Performing Arts teachers from across United Learning were came together to learn with BalletBoyz dancers, Edward Pearce and Matthew Sandiford. This CPD activity was followed by in-school workshops for students, led by BalletBoyz dancers, and the project culminated with collaborative showcase events for students in Manchester – 16 April (The Dance House) and London - 17 April (Stratford Circus), giving the students the opportunity to perform the work they had created.
